Thank you! You have for stepped into the world of SEGUE Ministries®. By helping local church congregations transition effectively “Tomorrow can be better”!
The time of pastoral transition is more than just finding a new shepherd…it can be a time of transformation for the entire church ministry. It is a time for analysis of the church’s history, finding the present reality, and developing new identity and direction. These moments are opportunities for change that advances the local church and Kingdom of our Lord Jesus Christ. The goal…”ending well, starting strong”!
When a pulpit is open, the entire system is also open. The next pastor always represents change for a church. The interim pastor will assist in preparing a local church for the variety of changes that lie ahead.
Most systems, when open, want to return to their former state as soon as possible. This is a universal instinct.Through engagement of an intentional interim ministry, the church is agreeing that they desire to keep the system open for learning and correcting past behavior. They want to “do it different” this time. This time the transition will center on mission and ministry. The church will get back to purpose, the very purpose of the congregation’s existence.
Serving as an interim minister, you become the temporary shepherd charged with unfolding these exciting directions for the future. Your ministry can have meaningful and long-term effects on the lives of the believers within the current congregation as well as those who are yet to come.
